Hamas-Directed Suicide Bombing Arrests in Tel Aviv

A joint investigation by Israeli authorities has revealed that the failed suicide bombing in Tel Aviv on August 18 was orchestrated by Hamas headquarters in Turkey. Eight individuals have been indicted for their roles in the attack, including the bomber Jaafar Muna, a Hamas operative from Nablus. The investigation uncovered a network of Hamas operatives who were in contact with Abada Bilal, a senior Hamas official in Turkey, who directed the operation and provided funding and bomb-making training. During the investigation, security forces seized two ready-to-use explosive devices, along with additional explosives intended for future attacks, and over 111,000 shekels ($29,600) linked to the operation. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, emphasizing their commitment to continuing such operations against Israel. The findings have raised concerns about the establishment of Hamas's operational capabilities abroad, particularly in Turkey, and their intent to incite violence within Israel.
