Taylor Swift Granted Order Against Alleged Stalker

Taylor Swift has been granted a temporary restraining order against Brian Jason Wagner, a 45-year-old ex-convict from Colorado, after he repeatedly appeared uninvited at her Los Angeles home and falsely claimed she was the mother of his child. Wagner's harassment began while he was incarcerated, with him sending Swift fabricated, threatening communications about a nonexistent relationship. He also changed his driver's license to list Swift's address, attempted to divert her mail, and once visited her property carrying a glass bottle that could be used as a weapon. The restraining order, signed by Judge Debra R. Archuleta, requires Wagner to stay at least 100 yards away from Swift, her home, her workplace, and her car, and is effective until June 30. Swift has stated that Wagner's escalating behavior has caused her to fear for her safety and her family's. This is not the first time Swift has sought legal protection from a stalker, having previously obtained a restraining order in 2014 against a different individual.
