Freddie Highmore Stars in Amazon Thriller The Assassin

Freddie Highmore is set to star in the upcoming Amazon Prime thriller series, The Assassin, marking his return to television after The Good Doctor concluded in May. He will portray Edward, the son of a retired assassin, Julie, played by Keeley Hawes, as they navigate a dangerous reunion on a remote Greek island that forces them on the run due to Julie's past. The six-episode series, created by Harry and Jack Williams, began filming in August in Greece and will also feature a notable cast including Gina Gershon and Jack Davenport. Highmore and Hawes will serve as executive producers alongside Sarah Hammond. The show's premise involves Edward confronting his mother about his paternity, leading to life-threatening situations as their relationship is tested.
