Texas Deputy Constable Fatally Shot in Houston

Deputy Maher Husseini, a Texas constable, was fatally shot while driving to work at an intersection in Houston on Tuesday. The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. when a man approached Husseini's SUV and fired multiple shots; he was not in uniform at the time. Authorities initially investigated the motive, considering road rage as a possibility, and described the suspect as a 35- to 40-year-old man with dark, thinning hair.
