Multiple US EMTs Charged with Child Sexual Abuse Crimes

Multiple emergency medical technicians (EMTs) across the United States have been arrested and charged with crimes related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). In Florida, Adam Franz, a firefighter/EMT with Charlotte County Public Safety, was arrested on multiple counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor. In Wisconsin, Timothy Lund, a part-time EMT with the Port Washington Fire Department, was charged with possession of child pornography after allegedly distributing such material online using a police department IP address. In Massachusetts, Connor McAuliffe, a Salem EMT and certified paramedic, was arrested and federally charged for receiving and possessing CSAM as part of a large encrypted messaging group with over 1,000 members worldwide; investigators found approximately 1,500 images and 50 videos on his phone depicting abuse of minor boys. McAuliffe faces up to 20 years in prison for the charges. These cases are part of ongoing investigations involving law enforcement agencies nationally and internationally, highlighting the serious nature of crimes involving EMTs and child exploitation materials.
