Ben Kweller Announces New Album Cover The Mirrors

Ben Kweller has announced his upcoming album, Cover The Mirrors, which marks his first release since the tragic death of his 16-year-old son, Dorian Zev, in 2023. The album, set to release on May 30, 2025—what would have been Dorian's 19th birthday—features the lead single 'Optimystic,' described by Kweller as his most personal and emotionally raw work to date. In a heartfelt statement, Kweller expressed that creating this music has been a means to cope with his grief, stating, 'I didn’t care what came out of me because it was the only way I could find peace in my earth-shattering grief.' The album will also include guest performances from artists such as Waxahatchee and the Flaming Lips. Kweller will support the album with a North American tour beginning in April 2025.
