Man Dies After Rescue From Boulder Creek, Police Investigate
A man was found unresponsive and floating in Boulder Creek between 55th and 63rd Streets on July 4, prompting a multi-agency rescue effort including Boulder Fire-Rescue, Boulder Police, and others, who used drones to aid the search. He was recovered near the 61st Street underpass, where first responders immediately administered CPR before transporting him to Boulder Community Hospital, where he died on the night of July 7. The Boulder Police Department is investigating the incident but does not suspect foul play and has stated there is no current risk to the public. The Boulder County Coroner's Office will determine the man's identity, cause, and manner of death through an autopsy. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Detective Starks at the Boulder Police Department. This coordinated response highlights the collaboration among emergency services in Boulder County during the rescue operation.
