Ballmer, Sports Teams Boost Wildfire Relief Efforts

Steve Ballmer, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, and his wife, Connie, are donating $15 million to aid those affected by the deadly Los Angeles wildfires. This donation will support immediate food and shelter needs, first responders, and various community aid organizations, particularly in Altadena. The Ballmer Group is also organizing FireAid, a benefit concert to further assist with wildfire recovery efforts. The wildfires have claimed at least 27 lives and continue to impact Southern California communities. This initiative is part of a broader effort, with professional sports teams in Los Angeles collectively pledging over $8 million for wildfire relief. The NBA and its players' association have also contributed $1 million to relief efforts through organizations like the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen.
