Giants Sign Smith-Marsette and Johnson

The New York Giants have made two notable signings to address their immediate roster needs. Fullback Jakob Johnson has been re-signed to the active roster after previously being released and placed on the practice squad. Additionally, the Giants signed kick and punt return specialist Ihmir Smith-Marsette to fill the gap left by injured returners Gunner Olszewski and Darius Slayton. Smith-Marsette, a fifth-round pick by the Vikings in 2021, has played for multiple teams and had an NFL-high 37 punt returns last season. The Giants also placed linebacker Carter Coughlin on the practice squad/injured list and signed linebacker Curtis Bolton to the practice squad.
