Oakland County Seeks Driver in Fatal Pontiac Hit-and-Run

Authorities in Oakland County are actively searching for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a 31-year-old bicyclist in Pontiac. The incident occurred after 11 p.m. on Baldwin Avenue at Rundell Avenue, where the bicyclist was struck by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported that the driver and a passenger abandoned the Jeep and fled in a silver Chevrolet Malibu. Sheriff Michael Bouchard condemned the driver's actions, emphasizing the lack of basic humanity in leaving the victim behind. The Jeep has been impounded, and speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
