Lilo & Stitch Tops US, Canada Box Office Third Weekend

Despite strong critical reviews and audience support, the John Wick spinoff "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina," led by Ana de Armas, underperformed with an opening weekend of $25 million domestically, below initial forecasts but still ranking second at the box office. While "Lilo & Stitch" has been a massive success in North America and other markets, it has notably underperformed in India, where it earned only ₹5.60 crore, attributed to weak marketing and competition from local films. Overall, "Lilo & Stitch" is on track to become one of the most profitable films of 2025, potentially reaching $1 billion worldwide, whereas "Ballerina" may have a longer theatrical run despite its slow start. Other box office contenders include "Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning" and "Karate Kid: Legends," but neither has challenged the reigning success of "Lilo & Stitch."
