Borderlands Film Set for Digital Release

Despite a star-studded cast, the film suffered from production challenges, including reshoots and script changes. Additionally, Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford hinted at the development of a new Borderlands game, suggesting that the franchise may continue to thrive despite the film's shortcomings.
