Multi-Vehicle Crash Blocks Traffic on SR 520

On Friday night, a multi-vehicle crash involving a FedEx semi-truck occurred on northbound I-5 in Tacoma, blocking all but two lanes. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and investigators found no signs of impairment among drivers. Meanwhile, another collision on westbound SR 520 at Montlake Boulevard in Seattle involved at least four vehicles and a King County Metro bus, completely halting traffic in that area. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported no estimated time for reopening the lanes and advised drivers to seek alternate routes. Emergency crews were dispatched to both scenes to manage the incidents and clear the roads.
