Soundgarden Induction; Hiro Yamamoto to Join

Soundgarden will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 8, 2025, at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, with the ceremony streaming live on Disney+ and later airing on Hulu and ABC. Surviving members Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd plan a Seattle‑centric onstage celebration joined by Seattle peers Nancy Wilson, Jerry Cantrell, Mike McCready, Brandi Carlile, superfan Taylor Momsen and original bassist Hiro Yamamoto. The honor follows Soundgarden's third nomination and will mark drummer Matt Cameron's second Rock Hall induction. The band intends to honor late frontman Chris Cornell by incorporating some of his unfinished recordings into a final album. Rehearsal photos have been shared publicly, and the induction cements Soundgarden's place in the 2025 class alongside acts such as Outkast, The White Stripes and Cyndi Lauper.
