One Dead, Another Injured in Brooklyn Park Vehicle Fire

A fatal car crash occurred early Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway 252 and Humboldt Avenue in Brooklyn Park, resulting in one death and one injury. The incident, reported at approximately 7:21 a.m., involved a vehicle that struck a semaphore and subsequently caught fire. Bystanders played a crucial role by rescuing the occupants before emergency services arrived; however, 36-year-old Carlos Chavez Holliday was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 33-year-old driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol and local police are conducting an investigation, which temporarily closed a section of Highway 252 for several hours. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the accident to come forward. The road has since reopened to traffic.
