UFC Champion Alex Pereira Cast in Onslaught

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming film 'Onslaught', directed by Adam Wingard and starring Adria Arjona. Pereira will portray the antagonist known as 'The Butcher', leveraging his MMA skills for the role. The film, described as a 'gonzo action horror thriller', will be co-financed by A24 and Lyrical Media, and is expected to enter production in New Mexico this fall. Arjona's character is a mother who must protect her family from a threat that escapes from a military facility. Wingard's return to his indie roots with this project follows his blockbuster success with 'Godzilla x Kong'. Pereira is notable for being a champion in two different UFC weight divisions.
