Commanders Hire Jesse Madden as Offensive Coach

The Washington Commanders have hired Jesse Madden, grandson of legendary NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden, as an offensive quality control coach. Jesse Madden, who played as both a quarterback and a defensive back at Michigan, was part of the 2024 team that won the College Football Playoff National Championship. This marks his first NFL coaching role, joining a Commanders team coming off a successful season that saw them reach the NFC Championship. John Madden, a Hall of Fame coach known for leading the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory and his influential broadcasting career, passed away in 2021. The Commanders also made other coaching staff additions, including hiring Brian Schneider as an assistant special teams coach.
