Philadelphia Woman Arrested for COVID-19 Relief Theft

Philadelphia woman Ashley Stibbins-Parker is facing felony charges for allegedly stealing a $184,838.72 COVID-19 relief check intended for Weston, Florida. Authorities claim she created a fraudulent entity, 'City of Weston LLC,' in Georgia to deposit the check in March 2021, using the funds for luxury purchases, including a $6,250 Brazilian butt lift, plane tickets, hotel rooms, and money transfers. Stibbins-Parker is charged with fraud, money laundering, and grand theft. The total financial loss to Bank of America is estimated to be $131,888.22. She was arrested in Annapolis on June 14 and is being held without bond.
