Pedestrian Killed In Hit-and-Run On Pennsylvania Turnpike Eastbound

Early Friday morning a pedestrian was struck and killed on the eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike in Beaver County near mile marker 14.1 (between the Beaver Valley and Cranberry exits) around 2:30–2:33 a.m. [1][2][3][5]. Authorities say the person got out of a disabled vehicle and was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes when struck; the vehicle that hit them did not stop and fled the scene, a hit-and-run now under investigation [1][2][4]. Pennsylvania State Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Khalil Mutadabur of Pittsburgh [2]. The crash forced the eastbound lanes to be closed for more than two hours and they were reopened by about 6 a.m. [1][2][4]. Some early reports noted the victim had not yet been identified while troopers continued their investigation [3][2].
