Two Men Charged with Multiple Fires at St. Paul and Dyersburg Apartment Complexes

Two separate arson incidents have recently occurred involving multiple fires set by individuals in different locations. In St. Paul, Charles Douglas Minarsich, 54, was charged with two counts of arson after intentionally setting multiple dumpster fires that damaged buildings, including a bakery and apartments. Surveillance footage showed him placing burning objects in dumpsters, leading to thousands of dollars in damage. In Dyersburg, Tennessee, 19-year-old David Weird was charged with arson for setting three fires within three hours at the St. John Apartments, following a dispute with a family member. Police responded multiple times to the location, finding fires near a rear door and in a vacant apartment; Weird was arrested after being seen watching the fires and fleeing the scene. Both cases reflect ongoing investigations into deliberate fire-setting that caused property damage and threatened public safety.
