Schroders Appoints Meagen Burnett as CFO

Schroders has appointed Meagen Burnett as its new chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding Richard Oldfield, who will become the new CEO on November 8, 2024. Burnett, who joined Schroders in January 2023, will take on her role on an interim basis from November 8 until her formal start on January 1, 2025. Additionally, Johanna Kyrklund, the group's chief investment officer (CIO), has been elevated to the board, reflecting the importance of investment performance to the firm. Oldfield emphasized the need for simplification and collaboration to drive growth and shareholder value. Both Burnett and Kyrklund bring extensive experience to their new roles, with Burnett having over 25 years in financial services and Kyrklund having significantly expanded Schroders' multi-asset business. The leadership changes come as Schroders seeks to enhance its market standing after recent struggles.
