Warner Bros Unveils Open-World Lego Batman Game for 2026

TT Games announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight at Gamescom 2025, an open-world action-adventure game set to release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game spans 86 years of Batman history, featuring iconic moments and characters from films, TV shows, comics, and previous games, including references from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy and 2022's The Batman. Players will explore an open-world Gotham City filled with crimes to stop, puzzles to solve, and collectibles to find, utilizing Batman’s new combat system inspired by the Arkham series, with abilities to grapple, glide, and drive various Batmobiles and Batcycles. The story-led campaign follows Bruce Wayne’s journey from origin to legend, incorporating deep-cut DC lore and TT Games’ signature LEGO humor, and includes local cooperative play. Villains like The Joker, Bane (voiced by Matt Berry), The Penguin, and Poison Ivy appear, alongside allies such as Robin, Batgirl, and Catwoman, with customizable elements like the Batcave and wearable Batsuits.
