Iron Fist Returns in Disney+ MCU Animated Series Eyes of Wakanda

The upcoming Marvel animated series "Eyes of Wakanda," set to premiere on Disney+ in August 2025, will explore various periods in Wakanda's history through four standalone episodes. The series features a disgraced former Dora Milaje named Noni pursuing a pirate known as Lion, who has stolen Wakandan technology. Notably, the show will introduce an incarnation of Iron Fist, but not the version familiar from the divisive Netflix series starring Finn Jones; the director, Todd Harris, emphasized that this Iron Fist will be different from expectations. The anthology format offers Marvel a chance to expand Iron Fist's legacy and potentially reboot the character's narrative within the MCU. While Finn Jones has expressed interest in reprising his role in live-action projects like "Daredevil: Born Again," "Eyes of Wakanda" presents a fresh take on the martial arts hero.
