Adrian Lewis Announces Darts Comeback in May

Adrian Lewis, the two-time PDC World Champion, has announced his return to competitive darts after taking a hiatus since April 2023. The 40-year-old, known as 'Jackpot', stepped back to care for his ill wife and deal with stress from the sport, expressing gratitude towards fans and sponsors for their support during his absence. He revealed plans to participate in the Modus Super Series starting in May, marking his first appearance since his break. However, Lewis will need to regain his tour card through Q School, as it expired at the end of 2024. PDC chief Barry Hearn emphasized that Lewis would not receive any preferential treatment upon his return, aligning with the standard procedures for all players. Lewis has hinted at a potential full return to the PDC circuit in the future, hoping to compete again in 2026.
