Pregnant Woman Shot Outside Wawa in Pennsylvania

Latoya Davis, a 32-year-old pregnant woman, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Wawa in Collingdale, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening. The alleged shooter, 30-year-old Evelena Williams, admitted to firing a single shot from her licensed Ruger .380 semiautomatic firearm, which was later found in her vehicle. Surveillance video reportedly shows Davis attempting to flee when Williams shot her in the upper torso; Davis was pronounced dead shortly after police arrived. Williams has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder and criminal homicide, and is being held without bail. The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument, although the details leading to the confrontation remain unclear. A preliminary hearing for Williams is scheduled for October 9.
