Pedestrian critically injured in hit-and-run incidents in Lloydminster, Joliet

A 56-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a Kia Forte while attempting to cross Cass Street near Youngs Avenue in Joliet, Illinois, on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in an area without a marked crosswalk, and police say the pedestrian was crossing from the south to the north side of the street when he was hit by a westbound vehicle driven by a 29-year-old man, who was not injured.
