Typhoon Yagi Devastates Southeast Asia

Typhoon Yagi has caused significant destruction across Southeast Asia, killing over 500 people and displacing nearly 240,000 in Myanmar alone. In Vietnam, the storm caused approximately $1.6 billion in damage and affected over 230,000 homes. The typhoon also impacted the Philippines, resulting in at least 21 deaths and significant infrastructure damage, while Hainan Island in China reported 4 fatalities and extensive evacuations. The agricultural sector in Vietnam, particularly peach cultivation, has been severely affected. International aid has begun to flow in as countries respond to the urgent needs of those affected.
