SLB Launches Electris Well Technology, Installed in 100+ Sites

SLB has launched Electris, a portfolio of digitally enabled electric well completions technologies designed to boost production, improve recovery, and lower the total cost of ownership for oil and gas assets. Electris digitalizes control of the wellbore, providing real-time production intelligence and allowing operators to predict, adapt, and optimize reservoir management throughout the well's lifecycle. The technology is particularly beneficial for accessing reserves in complex reservoirs where conventional systems fall short, reducing the need for costly well interventions. Over 100 installations have been completed in five countries, with notable results offshore Norway, where Electris helped optimize oil output, minimize produced water, and decrease energy consumption for water treatment. SLB introduced Electris during the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, underscoring its commitment to digital innovation in the energy sector. Industry leaders cited the solution as a significant advancement, capable of shifting production economics and maximizing return on investment.
