TLOU Part II Chronological Mode Arrives on PC, PS5

Naughty Dog has released a major free update for The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5 and PC, introducing a Chronological Mode that lets players experience the story in linear order rather than the original non-linear format. Developed in collaboration with Nixxes, the mode provides deeper insight into the journeys of Ellie and Abby by reorganizing the narrative sequence. While newcomers are advised to play the original structure first, Chronological Mode offers returning players a new perspective. Completing the game in this mode unlocks Uncharted-themed skins for the No Return roguelike mode. The update follows renewed interest after HBO's The Last of Us season two and Neil Druckmann’s announcement to focus on new projects. The update has been positively received by both fans and critics.
