Eight-Year-Old Girl Rescued from Train Kidnapping

In a series of recent kidnapping incidents, an eight-year-old girl was rescued by Delhi Police from a train in Bihar after being abducted by a 21-year-old drug addict, Rohit Kumar, who intended to blackmail her father. The girl was reported missing on September 23, leading to a police investigation that utilized CCTV footage to track the kidnapper's movements to Buxar, where she was ultimately found. In a separate case, a 10-month-old baby girl was kidnapped at CSMT in Mumbai by a woman aiming to exploit her for begging; however, authorities located and rescued the infant within five hours. The police's rapid response involved extensive CCTV analysis across multiple railway stations. Additionally, Surendra Mahato, a long-wanted kidnapper, was arrested after evading capture for over 21 years for a separate kidnapping case in Uttarakhand. These incidents highlight ongoing challenges with child safety and the effectiveness of police surveillance and rapid response in abduction cases.
