Melissa Rivers' Archive of Jokes Survives Los Angeles Wildfires

Melissa Rivers has shared that despite losing her home in the recent Pacific Palisades fire, her late mother Joan Rivers' extensive catalog of jokes, comprising approximately 65,000 original jokes, was saved. These archival pieces were transferred to a national comedy center a few months prior to the disaster. Additionally, Joan's jewelry was safely stored in a bank vault, while Melissa managed to grab her mother's Emmy award and a cherished drawing before evacuating. Melissa expressed the profound loss she feels, stating that everything significant to her and her son Cooper is gone, making it surreal to condense their lives into just a few bags. Despite the devastation, she noted that her family is coping together during this difficult time. Her biggest regrets include losing personal items, particularly bathrobes that belonged to her parents, which held deep sentimental value.
