Dublin City Marathon Set for October 27

The Dublin City Marathon, set for October 27, 2024, will attract around 22,500 participants, including elite runners and amateurs alike, embarking on a challenging 26.2-mile course through the heart of Dublin. Road closures and bus diversions will be in effect from October 25 to October 28, with specific streets closed during the marathon to facilitate the event. Participants are advised to arrive by 8 am and to wear their official race numbers visibly. Over 150 physiotherapists will be available to assist runners with any injuries post-race. The marathon is celebrated for its supportive atmosphere and is known as one of Europe's finest, thanks in part to the enthusiastic volunteers and spectators. This year's event includes a prize fund of £40,000, with winners receiving substantial cash prizes alongside trophies.
