Bexar County Sheriff Investigates Suspicious Dead Horse Found Bound

Authorities in Far South Bexar County are investigating a suspected case of animal cruelty after a deceased white horse was found with its rear legs bound by a yellow tow strap tied to a gate post at a property on Goeth Road. Investigators believe the horse was killed elsewhere and then dumped at the scene, using the gate to offload the body. Despite canvassing the area for surveillance footage or witnesses, deputies have not yet identified any leads or the horse's owner. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office's Animal Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Team is leading the inquiry, emphasizing the link between animal cruelty and more serious crimes. Sheriff Javier Salazar has urged the public to come forward with any information to assist in identifying those responsible, providing contact details for anonymous tips. Veterinarians from Animal Crossing Vet Hospital conducted a post-mortem analysis supporting the theory that the horse died away from where it was found.
