Sleigh Bells Announce New Album 'Bunky Becky Birthday Boy' April 4

Sleigh Bells have announced their upcoming album, titled Bunky Becky Birthday Boy, set to release on April 4 via Mom + Pop Music. The album's title honors Alexis Krauss's late dog, Riz, who passed away in December 2023, and reflects themes of love and loss, as Krauss's son Wilder was also born recently. The duo has already released a single, 'Wanna Start a Band?', along with a new track 'Bunky Pop', which aims to capture the joy of a dog without self-consciousness. Producer Derek Miller explained that these tracks help weave a narrative where 'Bunky Becky' becomes a character throughout the album. Additionally, the band will embark on a North American tour this spring to support the album. The full tracklist includes 11 songs, with 'Bunky Pop' as the opener.
