Topuria vs Oliveira Headlines UFC 317 in June 2025

UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that Ilia Topuria will face Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight championship at UFC 317, scheduled for June 28, 2025, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of International Fight Week. The main event follows Islam Makhachev's move to welterweight to challenge Jack Della Maddalena after Della Maddalena's welterweight title win at UFC 316. Topuria, the undefeated former featherweight champion, vacated his 145-pound title earlier this year and seeks to become a two-division UFC champion, while Oliveira aims to reclaim the belt he lost to Makhachev in 2022. In the co-main event, flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja will defend his title against Kai Kara-France in a rematch of their 2016 exhibition bout. Additional major fights are expected on the UFC 317 card. White also announced that UFC 319 in Chicago will see middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis defend his belt against Khamzat Chimaev.
