Hamilton Leithauser Announces New Album Release

Hamilton Leithauser, frontman of The Walkmen, is set to release his new album 'This Side of the Island' on March 7, following his 2020 album 'The Loves of Your Life'. Co-produced with his wife, Anna Stumpf, and Aaron Dessner of The National, the album represents a stylistic shift towards a groovier, bass-driven sound. The recently released single 'Knockin’ Heart' features three bass tracks and tells the story of an estranged lover attempting to connect with someone who isn't listening. Leithauser noted that he wrote and recorded the song quickly and put it aside for a year, ultimately collaborating with Dessner to refine it. He will support the album with a tour that includes shows in major cities and a residency at New York's Café Carlyle. This marks Leithauser's first solo album since The Walkmen's reunion in 2023.
