Ukrainian forces launched a significant drone attack on a large ammunition depot in Toropets, Russia, reportedly destroying a key Russian missile site belonging to the defense ministry. This strike, which occurred around 235 miles from Moscow, resulted in massive explosions that local residents compared to a nuclear blast, with a fire spreading across a six-kilometer area. The depot was said to house tactical missiles such as Iskander and Tochka-U, along with various artillery munitions, which have previously been used to attack Ukraine. The explosion registered on the Richter scale and was visible from space, indicating the scale of the destruction, which is estimated to include around 19,000 metric tons of ammunition. Tver Governor Igor Rudenya reported an evacuation of nearby districts due to the fire, which was attributed to drone debris falling during the attack. In response, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have downed numerous Ukrainian drones but did not confirm any losses in Tver Oblast.
