Bulgarian Woman Describes UK Prison as 'Holiday'

Tsvetka Todorova, a Bulgarian woman involved in the UK's largest benefit fraud, bragged about British prisons being like a 'holiday' where she enjoyed amenities like a gym, hair salon, and art courses. Along with four others, she was sentenced to a total of 25 years for stealing over £50 million through fake Universal Credit claims. Despite a three-year sentence, Todorova had already served 18 months on remand and walked free from court, highlighting concerns about the luxury-like conditions in prison. The gang's fraudulent activities using fake IDs and real customers may have resulted in even higher losses than reported, prompting scrutiny on the British welfare system's vulnerabilities and the accessibility of such services in prison.
