Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced that her visa is under review to determine if any laws were breached, emphasizing he does not expect her to return to Australia. Wildlife experts also criticized the incident, citing potential harm to the joey and the distress caused to its mother. An online petition for her deportation has already garnered over 10,500 signatures.
