Man Utd agree pre-contract for Cristian Orozco
Manchester United have agreed a pre-contract to sign 17-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Cristian Orozco from Fortaleza CEIF, with the move due to complete in July 2026 when he turns 18. Orozco, captain of Colombia’s U17s, featured as his country reached the final of the 2025 CONMEBOL South American U-17 Championship. United view him as part of a long-term rebuild under manager Rúben Amorim and owners INEOS, and expect he may initially join the club’s youth setup before being considered for senior midfield duties. The signing continues a pattern of youth recruitment that has included full-back Diego Leon and youngsters Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi, with Leon’s deal reported to include initial fees plus significant add-ons. The club have also been trialling Senegal U17 captain Mouhamed Dabo as they continue to recruit heavily from youth markets.
