Firefighters responded to a significant fire early Wednesday morning at Amigos restaurant located at 280 South First Street in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The fire, which heavily involved the attic and south side of the building, required a second alarm and the support of off-duty firefighters to manage the blaze over approximately three hours. A total of 18 fire personnel were on scene, with one firefighter sustaining a non-life-threatening injury. Authorities, including the Fort Dodge Fire Department and police, along with Mid-American Energy, assisted during the response. The building is owned by MWC, LLC, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Meanwhile, a separate early morning fire was reported at a Hardee’s fast-food restaurant in Beavercreek, Ohio, though details remain limited as the situation develops.
