Nationwide 9/11 Remembrances Mark 24th Anniversary

The Naval War College held a ceremony recognizing 11 alumni and students who died at the Pentagon, underscoring the personal losses within military communities. Missouri State Representative Bill Hardwick recounted how witnessing 9/11 as a high school junior motivated his military career and altered Missouri’s strategic military role, while also noting how 9/11 changed societal norms around privacy and security. Additionally, retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Darin Gaub provided geopolitical insights on 9/11’s legacy, connecting the sacrifices of that day to ongoing global security challenges.
