Santa Monica Police Investigate Fatal DUI Incident

Meanwhile, in Santa Monica, a tragic incident on October 17 involved a 34-year-old homeless woman, Sherese Allen, who was fatally run over by an SUV driven by 21-year-old Yuyang Sun, who is now facing charges including DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. Allen was discovered pinned beneath the vehicle after the Santa Monica Police were alerted to a vehicle stuck in the sand, but attempts to save her were unsuccessful. Police are currently seeking the good Samaritans who attempted to help Allen, as they may possess crucial information regarding the incident. Authorities have urged these individuals to come forward, emphasizing that any details, no matter how small, could assist in the investigation. Sun is currently in custody with bail set at $100,000.
