Kings Sign Perry, Add Armia in Free Agency
The Los Angeles Kings have signed veteran forward Corey Perry to a one-year contract worth up to $3.5 million with performance bonuses for the 2025-26 season. Perry, 40, scored 19 goals and 30 points for the Edmonton Oilers last season and recorded 10 goals in the playoffs, marking his fifth Stanley Cup Final appearance in six years. A former Hart and Rocket Richard Trophy winner and Stanley Cup champion with Anaheim, Perry ranks third all-time in NHL postseason games played and brings significant playoff experience to the Kings. In addition, the Kings signed forward Joel Armia to a two-year, $5 million deal after his strong penalty-killing stint with Montreal. These signings reflect Los Angeles' active free agency period, aiming to add depth, experience, and playoff leadership to surpass their recent first-round playoff exits. Perry is expected to fill a middle- or bottom-six forward role, providing veteran presence and physicality.
