Arensman Wins Tour de France Pyrenees Stage as Pogacar Extends Lead

Dutch rider Thymen Arensman secured a significant victory on the toughest stage of the Tour de France with a solo effort over challenging climbs, finishing more than a minute ahead of the main contenders. Tadej Pogacar, who has dominated the competition with multiple stage wins in the Pyrenees, finished second and extended his overall lead over Jonas Vingegaard to over four minutes. Pogacar and Vingegaard closely marked each other near the finish, with Pogacar responding effortlessly to Vingegaard's attacks and gaining additional seconds in the sprint for second place. The race saw a major development as Remco Evenepoel, who had been third overall, abandoned due to struggling on the climbs. Following Evenepoel's exit, Florian Lipowitz moved up to third place overall and took the best young rider's white jersey.
