Ford Issues Multiple U.S. Safety Recalls
Ford is issuing multiple U.S. safety recalls covering roughly 227,000 vehicles for defects including loose front-seat frame bolts on about 163,256 Bronco Sport SUVs, 56,841 Lincoln and Explorer vehicles for windshields with visible air bubbles, and 6,909 Econoline vans for inoperative defrost/defog systems. Separately, Ford earlier recalled 174,853 U.S. vehicles for moonroof wind deflectors that can detach (a related Canadian recall covers about 23,437 F‑Series trucks and SUVs); dealers will inspect and repair or replace affected parts free of charge, and NHTSA and company filings note two reports of drivers struck by detached deflectors. Ford has also recalled more than 1.4 million vehicles for rearview-camera failures; owners can search VINs on the NHTSA website or contact Ford for information and repairs. These actions add to an unprecedented string of recalls for Ford in 2025, making it the most frequently recalled automaker in the U.S. this year.
