MBI Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting, Suspect Seriously Injured in Tupelo

Meanwhile, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is conducting an inquiry into an officer-involved shooting in Tupelo involving the Verona Police Department. Officers were assisting in a pursuit involving a hostage in a vehicle when the suspect crashed, exited the vehicle, and pointed a weapon at officers, prompting them to discharge their weapons and seriously injure the suspect.
