Record 2025 Pittsburgh Marathon Winners Announced

The 2025 Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon drew a record-setting 46,000 participants from all 50 states and 24 countries, making it the largest event in its history. Organizers and city officials collaborated on extensive cleanup after severe storms, using generators to power the event so utility crews could concentrate on restoring the city. The marathon weekend featured multiple events, including the nation's largest kids’ race, a 5K, toddler trot, pet walk, and the inclusive 'Champions Mile' for people with disabilities. Over 300 police officers, EMS personnel, and volunteers ensured safety and smooth operations. Mulgeta Birhanu Feyissa won the men’s marathon in 2:14:31, while Jane Bareikis claimed the women’s title for the second year in a row. The event showcased Pittsburgh’s community spirit, with many participants running to support causes such as Alzheimer’s and cancer research.
