North Carolina Families Receive Campers for Christmas

In a heartwarming response to Hurricane Helene's devastation, two families in North Carolina received new campers as Christmas gifts from EmergencyRV, a non-profit dedicated to helping disaster victims. The Penley family, who had lost everything, were gifted a fully equipped RV just after welcoming their newborn, while 70-year-old Marine veteran Timothy McCord received a new camper after living in a damaged one. Similarly, Mountain Strong Sanctuary provided campers and other holiday gifts to families affected by flooding in East Tennessee, including a family that had been living in their car. Additionally, single father Ricky Ward, who helped his community recover after the storm, received a tiny home from Wine to Water, allowing him to spend Christmas with his children in a more comfortable setting. These initiatives showcase the collective effort to bring relief and hope to those still struggling with the aftermath of the hurricane.
