Bobby Goulder Releases Accessible Music Album Inspired by Famous Artworks
Bobby Goulder, a composer with Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy, has created an innovative album titled 'Sound of a Masterpiece,' which transforms iconic artworks into immersive music. In collaboration with Dolby Laboratories and the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), Goulder aims to make art more accessible and engaging for visually impaired audiences. The album features 13 tracks inspired by famous pieces like da Vinci’s 'Mona Lisa,' Monet’s 'Water-Lily Pond,' and Munch’s 'The Scream,' utilizing unique sounds to evoke the emotions of the artworks. Goulder hopes the album will allow listeners to connect with the art beyond visual descriptions, creating a deeper experience. Proceeds from the album will support the RNIB, furthering their mission to enhance accessibility in the arts. Daniela Bischof from Dolby emphasized the goal of inspiring emotional connections through sound.
